This summer, our team grew stronger with the addition of Erin Nichols AuD CCC-A, who joined us in July 2025. Dr. Nichols brings a wealth of knowledge, clinical expertise and a genuine passion for helping others hear and communicate with confidence.
A Strong Educational Foundation
Erin Nichols AuD CCC-A began her journey in the field of audiology at West Chester University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Her initial interest in speech pathology and her strong family ties to healthcare sparked her curiosity about the role hearing plays in communication and overall well-being.
She went on to further her education at Salus University, earning her Doctorate in Audiology (AuD). During this time, Erin Nichols AuD CCC-A gained extensive academic and clinical training, preparing her to evaluate and manage a wide range of hearing and balance disorders.
Clinical Training and Hands-On Experience
To build on her classroom knowledge, Erin Nichols AuD CCC-A completed her fourth-year externship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, VA. This unique opportunity allowed her to train in both adult and pediatric audiology, giving her experience with patients across the lifespan.
From fitting and adjusting hearing aids to conducting detailed diagnostic testing, Erin Nichols developed valuable hands-on skills. She worked closely with patients and families, learning how to balance advanced technology with personalized care. This experience reinforced her belief in tailoring treatment to meet the needs of every patient.

While Erin Nichols AuD CCC-A is highly trained in all aspects of audiology, she has developed particular interests in:

Originally from Havertown, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, Erin Nichols AuD CCC-A is now excited to call Richmond, VA home. She has already begun enjoying the city’s vibrant culture, with a particular love for exploring the local culinary scene.
Outside of work, Erin Nichols AuD CCC-A enjoys a variety of hobbies that keep her active, creative and relaxed. She can often be found:

- Playing pickleball for fun and fitness
- Cooking and experimenting with new recipes
- Binge-watching her favorite shows
- Spending time with her cats, who bring her plenty of joy and laughter
