DANIEL LONG, MD

Dr. Daniel Long joined the Commonwealth Ear Nose & Throat team in 2026 as an otolaryngologist. He graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and during his chief year was recognized as Resident Teacher of the Year. He also holds specialized certification for Inspire® placement.

Dr. Long is particularly interested in obstructive sleep apnea surgery with Inspire, pediatric care and sinus surgery. He appreciates that otolaryngology allows him to care for an entire anatomic region while managing a wide range of conditions in both the office and operating room. He enjoys working closely with patients and their families to help them work toward better health and an improved quality of life. He also appreciates that ENT is an ever-evolving field, with innovative instruments and treatments continually expanding the ways providers can care for their patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Long is a proud Aggie who grew up in Beaumont, Texas and enjoys following Texas A&M sports. He is also an avid English soccer fan and has followed Chelsea FC for many years. He and his family enjoy spending time outdoors at local parks and hiking trails, and he is an avid runner who has participated in the Richmond Half Marathon several times. He hopes to make it an annual tradition.

Dr. Long and his family have enjoyed making Richmond their home, appreciating its four distinct seasons, active community and proximity to the river, mountains and beaches. They are grateful to have also found a strong sense of friendship and community through their church.
